(S1) Cricket -info

Here you will find all the information you need to know for Round 3 of the AHOL Games; including the date, time and rules, as well as the how to score bonus World Championship points in this round.

How to play!

– Cricket is played between two teams usaully but we are going to play slightly differently, each player will get a turn to bat while everyother player will be fielding; working as a team to get the batter out.
– The batting player tries to score runs by hitting the ball and running between wickets.
– The bowling/fielding players try to get the batsmen out by hitting the wickets or catching the ball.
– The game is divided into overs, with each over consisting of ten deliveries per batting player. So basically as the batting player you get 10 attempts to score runs unless out 1st.
– The player with the most runs at the end wins the game. (Although the top 50% or top 7 (whichever is lower) will be awarded the win and therefore the 100 points and a medal)

– The batsmen score runs by hitting the ball (this can be in any direction as the wickets are in the centre of the pitch) and running between the wickets. But they can also score runs by hitting the ball to the boundary, which earns them 5 runs.
– The boundary is basically the perimeter of the pitch. So batting the ball to the boundary gets you 5 automatic runs.
– If a batsman or the ball hits the wickets they are out.

– This covers most of the basics of AHOL Games Cricket, any questions or clarification required please let me know below or by direct message?

– This rounds opportunities to score bonus World Championship points will come through the success of the following Power Play actions;
– 50 points for successfully catching out a batting player
– 50 points for every 5 runs completed
– 50 points for a wicket (bowled)
