(S1) Football! – info

On Saturday 28th October 11:30 am the football for AHOL Games will take place on the field next to the Bowling Green at the Sandy.

Teams will be picked using the ball bag method on the day.

The game will be 30 minutes with 15 minute half’s and a 5 minute half time.

The team that scores the most goals will be the Winners. Should the game finish level, there will be a penalty shoot out to Crown our Champions!

As football is a contact sport, tackles will be judged somewhat leniently, and most fouls will result in a freekick. However, an extremely poor challenge will find that player a 3 minute stay in the sin bin. (In place of yellow and red cards)

All freekicks will be indirect.

Offsides will not be in play.

No studs or blades to be worn. Astros are permitted.

Depending on numbers, it will be rush goalie.

There will not be any throw ins. Should the ball go out of play. The game will resume with a kick in from the area it went out.

PowerPlays for this round will be earned through goals and assists. On a 1=1 basis. For example, score 4 goals and get 1 assist, and you will bag 5 PowerPlays in this round and therefore 250 points in the Championship.

In the unlikely event that a team keeps a cleansheet, that whole team will earn 5 powerplays each.

Outside of that, points will be awarded in the normal format. 25 for attendance, 100 per player for the winning team.
