Thank you to everyone that completed the Monthly review, and thank you for the lovely comments, it really is appreciated. And thank you for the not so positive comments, they are also helpful as its always good to try to improve where ever possible.
Before I get into the breakdown of the results and look to answer some of the feedback. I just want to say thank you to everyone for giving there all and making The Games as good as they have been so far. Smashing!
The one most people will want to know the result of (Players Player of the Month) will have to wait for now, but just as a teaser there was a nice spread of Players voted for and then most importantly, the winner has got a very decent percentage of the vote as you can see below.

Next we will take a look at the breakdown of the other questions;

So as you can see for the most part Players would like to play these disciplines again. which is good, as the main aim was to see if there was anything that a majority didn’t enjoy and wouldn’t want to play again so that could be something that not a round in future seasons.
There was a nice selection of game suggestions, which include;
1. Tabletop games. E.g chess
2. Pool
3. Netball
4. Handball
5. Badminton
6. Charades
7. Quiz
8. Bowls
9. Team Building Challenges
10. Slower Skilled games
Luckily for the players that suggested these, they are on the list of event ideas, but will try to factor these in sooner rather then later now.
Now I just want to address some of the feedback ;
A comment was left about not understanding the scoring system. To score points in The AHOL Games is simple, there are 2 main ways; Winning Rounds and PowerPlay actions. As The Games aim is to reward top individual performances, PowerPlay actions are the easiest way to score big points each round. PowerPlays are the sport/round specific action that will bag you 50 bonus points each time you achieve that action. For example in Football PowerPlays are awarded for each goal and assist a player contributes to the team. So it is important to read through the weekly info for each round to see how PowerPlays will be awarded for that round and then you can try to focus on that action during the round to score big points (as there is no limits on the number you can earn) and in most cases also win the round.
There were a few comments about frequency of rounds, and with valid reasons. But the aim of the Games is to have as many different disciplines as possible that can be tested each season. Hopefully they are ones you want to play but as the feedback above suggests this will not always be the case unfortunately, therefore you will have a decision to make, you can miss a round(and try to maximise points in the rounds you want to play in) or if you want to be Champion you will have to give it your all anyway, and who knows you might just enjoy yourself.
Tying in with the above there were a few comments about the times of games on the day. And while the comments are understandable, the unfortunate thing and this is true for all of life, you can’t please everybody. But as a next best option to both the frequency and the time of games issues that have been raised, if there is a round coming up (you can see this on the seasons schedule) and for some reason (like you actually have a life) you cannot attend but that is something you really want to play. If you let me know at least 7 days in advance of that round then I can swap it, hopefully with something we are playing that season that you don’t want to play in and then you will only miss one that you are ok with missing. The same goes for the time of the event. If there is something that you want to play in but you have work or are going out etc and have a time in mind that would work for you to do both then let me know before the round info is released on the Tuesday evening and I will try my best to accommodate.
A comment was left in regards to keep having the smoke bombs, which I will try to have one every round. If you are on the winning team and want it then let me know on the day and will provide you with it. The same goes for the Champagne, based on the split above I will bring some but will leave it up the the Winners on the day to ask for it if they want it.
I think that addresses everything, if you do not find this satisfactory then please get in contact and we can discuss things further to try to accommodate everyone as best as possible. But overall it seems everyone is content with how things are going so far and ultimately The AHOL Games are whatever you want them to be, the opportunity to a Winner in different sports and events and maybe even The Champion at the end. For some it might just be a chance to spend time with loved ones, get a bit fresh air and have some fun. Maybe its just a case of having nothing better to do. Perhaps its a way to get rid of some frustrations and try to get fitter. and Maybe its just as simple as this is awesome and why wouldn’t you want to take part. Overall its up to you to make the most of it for what suits you best. If you are loving it and want to take part in every round then awesome. If you want to just take part in certain rounds and miss the ones you don’t want to do then that’s cool too. And just to go back to it; the sad reality of life is you can’t please everyone, you can only please yourself. Anyway UP THE AHOL! and if you read this far message me with ‘That’s a lot of words, too bad I’m not reading um’
Yeah thanks for that, yeah 🙂
