ITS TIME!! To Get’cha Head in the Game! As this round is all about Breaking Free! from the pack to Win this Basketball showdown and be Champ!

When – 11:30 Sunday 19th November

Where – Kitwood Court

Prizes – Medals for the final 3 and a Trophy for the Champ!

This round will be a One Man format – an every player for themselves multi-round shootout. Where one player is eliminated per round and the requirement to get to the next round increases each round. For example the 1st round will only take 1 basket to get through and then round 2 will require 2 baskets and so on. Until we reach the final round which will be a 1 v 1 showdown to Crown our Champion!

How to play!

So the basic aim is to acquire the ball, move to an area of the court that you can shoot from and throw it into the basket.

Every other player that doesn’t have the ball needs to try to stop the ball player from scoring, while also trying to acquire the ball for themselves to score.

Each play will start with a tip off.

To move in the arena the ball must be dribbled (ball must be bounced between every other step)

Each basket is 1 score (no 3 pointers)

Once you reach the rounds score target you are then out of the game and through to the next round!

If you are the last player remaining in that round then you are eliminated!

Persistent fouling or an extremely poor foul will result in a 30 second sin bin

Fouls consist of, but are not limited to – Not playing the ball when challenging the ball player, excessive force when making challenges, travelling without dribbling,

Scoring Points

25 points per round played in

50 points (1pp) per basket

Ranking points will follow the Leaderboard Ladder Rank format for 25 points for last and then 25 per position up the ladder.

There is an additional bonus for the top 4 finishers;

Winner – 100 points

2nd – 75 points

3rd – 50 points

4th – 25 points
